Today we have 50 staff and 11 specialist divisions. Located in the heart of the City of London, we can provide our clients with a comprehensive recruitment service for all commercial positions from junior clerical staff to executive level PAs and facilities managers.

Our beginnings
Hudson York Farrell was established in 1994 as an arm of the award-winning Career Legal group, and the company follows the same standards of professionalism and precision in service delivery.
The original philosophy still applies today to all of the group’s operation: we saw the value of the kind of strong two-way relationship with recruitment clients that would benefit both sides.
One important advantage of this approach is that we have been able to recognise new client needs in related areas and to develop specialised services for those requirements. As a result Hudson York Farrell has grown organically, with new divisions added as fresh needs were identified. Today we operate with 11 divisions and can meet all the recruitment needs of the market.
Currently we maintain a detailed database of more than 12,000 candidates. We are working for over 500 clients and have preferred supplier status with many of the key names in the business world. To this day we have never lost a client. Our people
In an industry renowned for job-hopping, our clients enjoy the fact that our consultants join us for the long term – most have been with the group for an average of five years, and team managers typically have eight years’ experience with us.
They work in a unique environment, one that is driven not by targets but by our commitment to consultants’ skills. At Hudson York Farrell our consultants are encouraged to develop their professional skills, and we support them to express their individual flair, talent and judgement.
We operate with a very flat management structure, which means that management decisions are taken quickly. More importantly, individual consultants have a good deal of autonomy in handling the needs of clients: we trust our consultants, which is why we give them so much authority.
That’s also why we don’t give them a system of detailed targets for sales or client contacts. Virtually all recruitment consultancies do have targets for business bookings and number of sales calls per week. Our consultants are professionals: they don’t need and don’t deserve that kind of pressure. They do deserve the time and the space to develop close and long-lasting relationships with our clients.
