Under the Conduct of Employment Agencies or Employment Businesses Act 2003, before Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell can provide you with any work-seeking services we need to agree the terms which shall apply between Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell and yourself.
Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell therefore records the terms and conditions that we propose apply between Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell and yourself:
When Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell attempts to find you a temporary assignment with one of our clients where you (or the limited company through whom you are engaged) are paid by Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell, then we shall be acting as an “employment business”.
When Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell attempts to find you a role directly with one of our clients (either on a permanent or fixed term contract basis) then we shall be acting as an “employment agency”.
Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell shall attempt to find you work of the type that you identify would be most appropriate for you and your career.
If Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell engages you on a temporary assignment:

Subject to the terms of our contract, Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell undertake to pay you for work properly performed during that assignment irrespective of whether we are ultimately paid by our Client for those services.

  • The notice periods in place between yourself and Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell will be agreed at the time of the assignment in consultation with our Client.
  • Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell runs a weekly payroll for all properly verified work. Provided proper verification has been obtained by Monday that the services have been performed then payment is made on the Wednesday and will clear in your account by Friday.
  • If you work as a PAYE worker you will be entitled to four weeks paid holiday per annum. This is paid at 8.33% on your base rate and is accrued by us and paid to you allowing for two weeks’ notice. In some circumstances, with prior agreement by all parties, this may be included in your hourly rate. If this is agreed, no additional payment will be made in lieu of holiday pay.
  • If you work through a limited company the company will not be entitled to any payment for holiday pay from Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell. The limited company will only be paid fees in respect of the services rendered by its representatives.

As almost all Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell clients operate from a professional office environment there will be no particular health or safety risks involved in any roles to which Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell may introduce you. If Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell become aware of any such risks we shall advise you as soon as possible.
Career Legal/Hudson York Farrell assumes you are happy to work under the terms and conditions detailed above. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions please advise the company promptly in writing.
